enveloped Ribo Nucleic Acid (RNA) beta coronavirus that has currently been named Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV-2).
This novel coronavirus (nCoV) was identified by Chinese authorities on 7th January 2020 and was temporarily named “2019-nCoV”.
